![]() The Star King is the UEF main way of transporting its experimental units across the battlefield. It slowly circles its enemies and possesses incredible fire-power, but has fairly low health and won't survive long against formidable Anti-Air defenses.Ĭ-230 Star King Extreme Experimental Air Transport This mighty gunship is inspired by the AC-130 Spectre used in modern warfare today. Do note, it has more power and equal range to the UEF Poseidon Battleship, until the "Stacked Cannon" research upgrade for naval units.ĪC-1000 Terror Experimental Assault Plane It has one of the longest ranges in the game, so put it behind your main force. The design of the Fatboy has changed, now operating on 4 treads and losing its purpose as a mobile factory, and turning into a long-range offensive tank. The Fatboy II is a remake of the incredibly powerful original Fatboy from Supreme Commander 1. The UEF is known for its brutal prowess, and shows it frequently on the battlefield by using advanced ways of old-school war tactics.įatboy II Experimental Assault Vehicle It is however important to note the while they are powerful, they can be easily overwhelmed given the right circumstances. It is this for this reason that they are the most valuable commodities in Supreme Commander 2. Depending on the unit in question they have the potential to change the outcome of even the most bleak of scenarios. Like most other RTS games, the long term goal is to build up an economy with which building one of these units is possible. 4.8 Soul Ripper II Experimental Gunship.4.7 Cybranasaurus Rex Experimental Lizardbot.4.6 Bomb Bouncer Experimental Reflector Shield.4.4 Kraken Experimental Giant Submarine.4.3 Proto-Brain Complex Experimental Research Facility.4.2 Giant Transport Experimental Air Transport.3.8 Darkenoid Experimental Giant Saucer.3.7 Loyalty Gun Experimental Conversion Ray.3.6 Universal Colossus Experimental Assault Bot.3.5 Pulinsmash Experimental Mobile Unit Magnet.3.4 Space Temple Experimental Teleporter.3.1 Urchinow Experimental Assault Block.2.7 King Kriptor Experimental Assault Bot.2.6 Disruptor Station Experimental Quantum Distortion Artillery.2.5 Atlantis II Experimental Aircraft Carrier.2.4 Air Fortress Experimental Mobile Factory.2.3 C-230 Star King Extreme Experimental Air Transport.2.2 AC-1000 Terror Experimental Assault Plane.2.1 Fatboy II Experimental Assault Vehicle. ![]() this means that your opponent can simply destroy the factory before it is finished and you have to rebuild the whole factory AND the unit so gantry's should be placed where it is safe and defended if necessary. It should also be noted that as with almost everything in supreme commander 2 it has been heavily down scaled from the original supreme commander and "gantry's" are now needed to build experimental units instead of building them with engineers. Their strength, size and effectiveness can be enough to tip the scale of a very aggressive and futile battle. Experimental units only benefit from Training researches, but usually the experimentals are so powerful on their own, that they don't need any. Experimentals range from different aspects of a battle, not just for offensive capabilities like the Cybransaurus Rex or King Kryptor, but rather to set up a cunning strategy, such as using the advanced range of the Fatboy II Experimental Assault Vehicle, or the incredibly powerful fall damage of the Illuminate Darkenoid Experimental Saucer. The difference between the two is largely determined by the size and effectiveness of the experimental. There are two classes of Experimentals, Minor Experimentals and Major Experimental. ![]() Each factions Experimentals show their technology and creativity on the battlefields, whether it's the ability to push enemy units away with the Cybran Magnetron Experimental Magnet, sucking in and crushing 2 units at once with an Illuminate Pulinsmash Experimental Unit Magnet or launching armies across a map with the UEF Noah Experimental Unit Cannon. In the Supreme Commander universe, Experimental Units are the most powerful units in the game. ![]()
